The other prevailing theme right now on this website ; “Dems don’t have to do anything, because their best electoral power is derived when Republicans with a simpleton, incorrect world-view are given the keys”.
They are incompetent for the job and that comes out in the wash sooner or later. So when you hear (frequently) from the corporate-tilted press that Dems are “just as unpopular”, “in disarray” and it’s “both sides”, no. That is categorically wrong. Republicans have the levers right now and have managed in less than 1.5 years, to drive all independents from the tent. The only support left is their extremist, fact-challenged, base voter.
